Racing Team

The Runners Market Racing Team was established in 1999 by the store owner, Kevin Pack, and Dave Nelson. Their goal was to provide an opportunity for local runners to get together and share in their spirit of competitiveness and passion for racing. Since the team’s creation, other racing teams have also emerged to form a competitive racing team series as a part of The Knoxville Track Club’s annual Grand Prix. The Eddie Reymond Cup goes to the team that accumulates the most points by the end of each racing season and since its inception in 2004 the RM Team has won more than seven times! In 2007, a women’s division was added and the RM Ladies have taken home the top prize more than three times!

The Big Red Machine, as the team has come to be known, has an active roster of 30-ish dedicated male and female runners who compete in local road and trail races, regional track and cross-country meets, and nationally acclaimed events.
If you have a passion for racing and think the RM Racing Team might be a good fit for you, contact the Team Captain, Connie Dickey, for more information.
