Runners Market Racing's Alan Horton Runs Olympic Marathon Trials

Maryville native and Team Runners Market member Alan Horton competed in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in New York City.  Running on a challenging five-loop course through Central Park on a windy morning, Horton finished the 26.2 mile distance in a time of 2:22:03.  This was only five seconds off his personal best time, which he set last fall in Chicago on a much faster course.  More impressive is the fact that Horton went into the race ranked 135th in the field of qualifiers but finished in 49th place out of 104 of America's finest distance runners.  The Runners Market would like to give a huge congrats to Alan for this incredible achievement!
