2009: Finished 63rd out of nearly 50,000 finishers at the Peachtree 10k in Atlanta running a time of 32:23.
2008: Finished 25th overall in the Boston Marathon running a time of 2:25:14. Alan was the 8th American to cross the line after he lead the field through the first mile marker.2007: Came in 35th at the U.S. Men's 8k Championships in New York running a personal best time of 24:29...Won the Calhoun's 10-Miler setting a TN state record of 52:11...Placed 49th out of 130 of America's finest distance runners in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials running a time of 2:22:03 on a challenging five-loop course through Central Park in New York City.
2006: Qualified for the Olympic Trials by 2 seconds running a 2:21:58 at the Chicago Marathon, his first marathon...finished 5th in the Covenant Health Knoxville Half Marathon running a time of 1:08:52...Clocked a PR of 1:07:53 at the ING Philadelphia Half Marathon...Won the Ruby Tuesday Triple Crown Race Series.
