Katie Cranford

Katie is an undergraduate student at the University of Tennessee studying Psychology. Originally from Morristown, TN, her mom has been a longtime member of the Runners Market Racing Team, a connection that helped bring her to the Runners Market Staff in late 2024. As an on again off again runners for several years, she has picked up running more consistently since joining Runners Market, and is planning to run her first half marathon during the Knoxville Marathon weekend in April 2025.

Melissa Correa

Melissa moved to Knoxville in 2022, and since moving here she has juggled law school, marathon training, and working at the Runners Market. Melissa decided to work at the Runners Market in order to extend her knowledge of running and helping others find passion in the sport.

Before Melissa moved to Knoxville, she lived in San Diego, California and spent her time there completing one term in the Navy and then earning her bachelor’s degree from The University of California, San Diego. After applying to law schools and accepting a spot at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Melissa knew she needed a hobby to balance her lifestyle and started running in 2021, never having played a sport in her life. Despite this, Melissa has now run several marathons, averaging about two a year. Aside from marathon training, you will find Melissa happily approaching the start lines of local 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons.

Melissa’s day to day includes reading non-fiction books, studying law, running, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Andrew Pack

Andrew, AKA Fit-specialist extraordinaire, has been with Runners Market since the beginning. He was raised around shoes, race water aid stations, expos, the Knoxville Track Club, trail running, and just about anything to do with the Knoxville running community. You’re more than likely to see him or his twin brother Tyler anytime you come into the store. Andrew left Knoxville in 2009 and worked at three different running shops before returning to Knoxville in 2017. Nowadays when he’s not focused on his job at Runners Market he’s busy (and tired) raising his young son, Jude.

Emily Pack

Dr. Emily Pack has been working at the Runners Market since 2016, and it has been a dream come true in many ways. What started as a part-time job during graduate school became much more as she met and married her husband, Tyler Pack. Emily has always wanted to work at a running store, especially one that is locally owned. Locally owned run shops, like Runners Market, have a flair for business that is different from “big box stores.” Community is, literally, etched into the walls of the store with “old school” posters and stickers, and paraphernalia of running days gone by. Of course, Emily brought her own pizazz to the store. She has helped bring Runners Market into the 21st century with a wide selection of Goodrs, socks, and Saturday morning post-run mimosas. She loves chatting about the running scene both locally and globally. If you are looking for places to run in Knoxville, plan to stay awhile as Emily enjoys sharing everything there is to know about these topics! In her free time, Emily can be found training for marathons, playing with Mowgli her cat, and beating her husband in all manner of foot races. Emily is an avid wine drinker and a mediocre whistler.

Tyler Pack

Tyler Pack has been working at the Runners Market for almost 20 years. He is one of three sons of Kevin and Sam. Over the years, Tyler has cultivated a passion for his family business and prides himself on what the Runners Market stands for – a welcoming environment with a knack for selling some pretty sweet shoes! His parents instilled in him a strong sense of community early on and it has only strengthened through the years. He earned his Civil Engineering degree at the University of Tennessee. Although he didn’t pursue a career in the field, he loves over-analysing every little aspect of the business which drives everyone else crazy. In his free time, Tyler enjoys riding his mountain bike, playing soccer, and losing to his wife in all manner of foot races. Tyler is an avid beer drinker, and stellar whistler.

Grace Weber

Chef Grace Weber is a Knoxville native who grew up in the running scene. She purchased her first pair of running shoes from Runners Market in 2006 after starting the Knoxville Track Club Youth program (now Knoxville Youth Athletics). Grace eventually got recruited to run the 10K at Converse University where she ran Cross Country and Track. After college she moved to Durban, South Africa to work in the nonprofit sphere and dove very deep into trail and mountain running in the Drakensburg Mountains. When she returned to Knoxville after a few years abroad, she snagged a job at Runners Market and worked for several years while becoming an honorary part of the family. She also became highly involved in the Knoxville trail running and racing scene and became known for showing up to races no matter what she got into the night before! Grace eventually moved off to NYC to attend culinary school and chase her childhood dreams. After making the rounds in multiple Michelin Star restaurants she ran out of money, missed mountain running and the love of her life and decided it was time to come back. Grace now works here part time as her main gig is working as a Chef at JC Holdway in downtown Knoxville.

Kevin Pack

As a kid, Kevin ran circles around a cemetery and a nearby deserted airstrip in rural West Virginia. The local road race scene pulled him in and his training included running inescapable hills and windy rural roads. His favorite road race was a 15 miler, the Charleston Distance Run. After a career in engineering and winding up in Knoxville in 1984 (and meeting Samantha), it occurred to Kevin and Samantha that Knoxville had a great running scene but lacked a running shop. Fast forward to today, and it seems impossible to Kevin that the shop will celebrate its 30th year with two of his sons taking the reins. Kevin’s running may be much slower these days but is motivated to keep going with his mind on that youthful kid in WV.
