Runners Market

History

Runners Market found their first home in an old “house” next to River Sports on Sutherland Avenue in late summer of 1995 (currently Mojoes Coffee). Kevin Pack, coming off a not-so-exciting engineering career, and his wife, Samantha Pack, shared a vision for a place where runners could come and get their gear to enjoy their passion for running and fitness. Michael deLisle, competitive runner and Knoxville Track Club advocate/contributor, hopped on board to help make it happen. Spring fever and a growing business spawned a move to the current location at Western Plaza in 1998. And, yes, we’re locally owned!
